About Me

My name is Alex.

I am a wife to Ray, a mom to Samuel Grey and Moe-puppy. I come from a rather large, loud, loving family. I love all things chocolate and fall-inspired. I love slow mornings, complete with black coffee, a journal, and quiet time at our farmhouse table.

My story is rather simple - You can find it in Ephesians 2. I was dead in sin and desperately in need of a rescue. I was separated from God and without hope. God, in His great love with which He loved us, sent His only son Jesus to die for us - taking my punishment on the cross, He died the death I deserved and brought me to life. He did what I could never do to bring me back to Him - He rose from the grave and traded my shame for His righteousness. By His grace, through faith, He rescued me and adopted me as His daughter. I was at one time, by nature, an object of wrath - but now, by grace, I am an adopted daughter of the Living God. And He is the Perfect Father. Though at times I tend to believe otherwise, my life is not a house of cards that, with even the slightest wrong move or breath, will come crashing down in hopeless ruins. Jesus holds my life. He determines my steps. He's in control. He's the Almighty Living God, the first and the last - in Him all things hold together. I am a work in progress - but I am confident in the promise that He who began a good work in me will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus (Phil 1:6).

all my love,
 a
